Kirkstall Abbey

Kirkstall Abbey is a ruined monastery in Leeds in West Yorkshire. It was founded c. 1152 and took over seventy five years to construct. It was closed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under the rule of Henry VIII.

This image was shot on film that then remained unused and more importantly undeveloped in a second body for far to long. When processed the film had spoiled somewhat leaving a lot of grain that really gives this image some character.
